A Needle Valve is one category of valve having small port and a threaded needle shaped point at the end of valve stem that is referred as plunger. Needle valve can operate both manually and automatically, in manually it has handwheel that operates the plunger, when handwheel in turn-on direction the plunger would open and allow flow to pass. When handwheel in other direction plunger moves to seat and decrease flow respectively and will stop. Automatic needle valve connected to hydraulic motor which adjust plunger position according to timer and make automatically open and close the valve.
