The ultrasonic level sensor for tanks is one of the non-contact types of level detection equipment. It uses high-frequency sound waves to determine the distance from the sensor to a surface. The time it takes for the echo of these sound waves to return back to the transducer determines the height of liquid in a tank or vessel.
