Hydraulic seals are soft, non-metallic rings that are collected by grooves or mounted by combining rings to form a sealing assembly to block or isolate fluid in mutual movements. In equipment, hydraulic seals are critical. Their use is important to convert fluid power to linear motion. A variety of materials, such as polyurethane, rubber, or PTFE, can be used to manufacture hydraulic seals. Due to fluid form, pressure, fluid chemical compatibility, or temperature, the type of material is determined by the particular operating conditions or limits.
