Thinning is normally done with portable water to reduce the minimum film forming temperature
(MFFT). Following coalescing agents are effective.
Butyl glycol acetate, butyl diglycol acetate and texanol.
To improve the freezing thaw stability, Ethylene glycol can be added. It should be added slowly and under continuous stirring to avoid the coagulation.
