The project has in place a written worker welfare plan for worker accommodation, ensuring at a minimum this covers issues around maintenance, security, health and safety, living conditions and relationships with the local communities.Rules and regulations governing accommodation are reasonable and non-discriminatory, in line with the company’s health and safety policy and in accordance with international guidelines and standards as well as local legislation. The project also ensures communication of, and access to a mechanism for reporting concerns, complaints, or potential violations of employee rights.The accommodation is procured from a third party, the project has in place, a process to manage the initial procurement and to periodically assess living conditions in the facilities, assuring compliance with the companies’ general management standards on living conditions and worker welfare.
